Jewelry Making -- Infinity Earrings Step 9: Now, using your round nose pliers, grasp the
horizontal wire segment from step 8 as close to the bend as possible, but
on the horizontal side of the bend (see step 9a). We are going to
make a loop at this point. Push the wire up and over the
jaws of your round nose pliers (step 9b). Reposition the wire so
that you can complete the loop (step 9c). Finally, push the wire
tail to complete the loop. When completed, the wire will
appear as shown below, after Step 9. |

| Step 10: Using your flush cutter, with the flat side of the jaws of the flush cutter toward the finished piece, cut the jewelry wire to leave a completed loop. |
|
| Step 11: Open the loop you just completed, using the
techniques discussed in page 6 of our Beginners
Jewelry Making Instructions, slide this opened loop through the loop in
your ear wire finding and close the loop. When finished the earring
should appear as shown at right.
Step 12: Complete this jewelry making project by making a second earring using the same steps and you are done. Make the second earring body a mirror image of the first by starting on the opposite peg of your WigJig. |
