Alternative Jewelry Making Design Two:

The mini-chandelier earrings shown at right are made with two of the Four Leaf Clover wire components, six head pins, six 4mm onyx beads , one inch of commercial chain and two ear wire findings.  These are very delicate earrings, but because of the segment of chain they have a lot of eye-catching motion.  This is a great jewelry making project.  They are easy to make, they are quick to make, and they look great.

Four Leaf Clover Beaded Chandelier Earrings made using WigJig jewelry making tools, wire and jewelry supplies.

Begin making these earrings by making two of the Four Leaf Clover wire components using the instructions from page 5. In this case, you use the clover wire component on the "weak axis".  Open the initial loop in the clover with chain nose pliers and added a link from a 1/2" length of commercial chain, then closed the initial link in the clover.  I added three bead dangles made of head pins and 4mm onyx beads (Item 2070 from our Internet store).  4mm Swarovski crystal beads would also make very nice bead dangles for these earrings.  Finish this jewelry making project by opening the loop in your ear wire findings and adding the end link in the commercial chain segment, then close this loop.  The ear post finding used here can be found here in sterling silver and here in gold-filled in our Internet store.  Make two earrings using the same approach.

I find that closing the loops in these ear wire findings is hard to accomplish without bent closing pliers.  You will want to close the loop in your ear wire finding using your chain nose pliers as you normally would, but with the very small wire in an ear wire finding, you will probably find that they don't close all the way.  Because of the grooves in these bent closing pliers you can close the small loops in your ear wire findings without distorting the wire.  Align your loop in the grooves of your bent closing pliers and squeeze very gently.  Bent closing pliers are items 0389 and 0689 in our WigJig Internet store.
