Alternative Configurations:

The first alternative to this jewelry making project is that this pattern can be made in a variety of sizes on the WigJig Cyclops or Electra.  The peg pattern for these round hole pattern jigs is shown at right.  By moving all of the pegs in or out one or more pegs, you can change the size of this wire component.  This demonstrates one of the advantages of the round hole pattern jigs that we call scaling.  You can make this component in a variety of sizes.

The second alterative to this jewelry making project is wrapping of the wire component just before the beginning and ending loop with fine gauge wire.  Using 24, 26 or 28G wire, you can wrap the fine gauge wire around the 20G wire adjacent to the two loops as shown at right.  This has the effect of soldering or gluing this wire together and can add a decorative accent when done in a complimentary colored wire.

Another alternative jewelry making project is to connect the two beginning and ending loops in the diamond chandelier wire component to your ear wire by a right angled figure 8 connector.  The steps for making this right angled figure 8 connector are provided in the following page.  Both of the earrings shown at right use this right angled figure 8 connector.
