Step 8:  Remove the wire from the jig.  The wire will be slightly three dimensional and both the initial and final wire segments will be on top of one another.  We need to make them side-by-side.  This is best done by grasping the top and then bottom loop with Fine Step Jaw Pliers (first step for Delphi, middle step for Olympus or Olympus-Lite) or round nose pliers and pulling the wire tail associated with that loop.  When completed, the two wire tails should be in the position shown at right.  Now flatten the piece by squeezing it in the jaws of nylon jaw pliers.

Step 9:  Now grasp each loop in turn with nylon jaw pliers or chain nose pliers and while holding the loop in nylon jaw pliers or chain nose pliers, wrap the two wire tails around the center wire segment.  In effect, you are bending the wire back in a "U" shaped bend around the wire segment between the loops.  When completed the wire will appear as shown at right.

Step 10:  Cut each wire tail off in turn.  Experiment with the cut so that you leave enough wire so that you can push the end of the wire down against the finished piece.  After cutting, finish the piece by pressing the two cut ends of the wire flat against the piece with chain nose pliers.  Once this has been completed, squeeze the piece in the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers.
