Page 1          Pearls and WigJig Bracelet

This bracelet is a beginner to intermediate jewelry making project that uses Soft Touch bead stringing wire, with a wire component made on any WigJig, a magnetic clasp, and a guard chain connected to the clasp by jump rings or a split rings.  Image 1 at left shows the completed bracelet.  Image 2 at left shows the bracelet with the clasp open, held by the guard chain.  Image 3 shows the bracelet on a manikin's wrist. Image 4 points out the individual components of this bracelet.

Jewelry Making Skills Required:

  • Use of WigJig to make wire components

  • Use of Bead Crimping Pliers to make bead crimps to secure beading wire to components.

Jewelry Making Supplies Required:

Tools Required:

  • Ten inches of .019 Clear Soft touch
  • Sixteen 8 mm Cream Swarovski Crystal Pearls Beads
  • Four inches of 18G Gold-filled half-hard wire
  • Four inches of 24G Gold-filled half-hard wire
  • One Gold-filled or Gold plated magnetic clasp
  • Four 2x2mm gold-filled crimp beads
  • Sixteen 1x2mm gold-filled crimp beads
  • Three inches of fine gold-filled chain
  • Two gold-filled jump rings or split ring connectors. 
  • Bead Crimping Pliers (regular)

  • Flush Cutter

  • Round Nose Pliers

  • Chain Nose or Bent Chain Nose Pliers

  • WigJig Olympus, Olympus-Lite, Delphi, Cyclops or Electra (any one) with two metal pegs

  • Two Super Pegs for jig above in 3/16 or 1/4 inch size (both must be same size)

  • 30 minutes of free time
