Step 10:  Make a "U" shaped bend one inch from the end of this wire and at that bend, wrap the wire around the top of the pumpkin, between the two wraps from the stem.  Wrap two times around.  When completed, your wire should appear as shown at right.

Step 11: Leaving slack to enhance the three dimensional effect of the pumpkin wrap the new wire segment around the bottom of the "pumpkin" twice.  Cut the loose wire tail at top and bottom.  At this point your pumpkin should appear as shown at right.

Step 12:  Hand finish the pumpkin to make it as realistic as possible.  I tried to use the slack in the three vertical wire segments to create a rounded effect by bending them slightly. 

Alternative Configuration:  You can make a loop in the top of the "stem" if you want to make this figure hang easier.
