Step 6: Now wrap the wire around the same peg as shown at right.
Leave the wire at the angle as shown. Step 7: In order to finish this piece with the wire centered over the the three loops you just made, remove the wire from the jig and using either your round nose pliers or your fine step jaw pliers, insert the pliers into the loop you just completed in step 6. While holding the piece with your pliers, push the wire vertical as shown at right. (Practice this with practice wire so that the wire ends up centered.) Step 8: Add a 6mm or 8mm decorative bead and optionally a round metal accent bead in 2, 2.5 or 3mm size. Step 9: Slide the bead all the way down so that it is as close to the three loops as possible. Grasp the wire just above your bead with your chain nose or bent chain nose pliers and bend the wire about 80 degrees as shown below. Step 10: Using your round nose pliers, grasp the wire tail (the segment without the bead) as close to the bend as possible and make a loop. See the picture below right. |
