Scepter Link Jewelry Making Project

This jewelry making project uses 22 gauge wire to make a
link that can be used in a bracelet or a necklace. My recollection
form my days in school many, many years ago is that the Romans had a
symbol of rank called a Scepter that was made of a series of wooden rods
bound together at top and bottom. This link uses many fine strands
of wire bound together at each end and for this reason reminds me of the
Roman Scepter. |

In the bracelet shown at right is made with three of
these Scepter links connected together by wrapped bead links.

Tools Required: |
- 30 inches of 22G soft wire
- 20 inches of 22G half-hard wire (preferred)
- One commercial clasp
- Six 8 mm beads
- Two 4mm beads
- 2.5 inches of fine commercial chain
