Step 15: Continue to add segments of commercial chain to either side of the necklace using the wrapped bead link until you have six 3/4" segments of commercial chain on either side of the yoke. Step 16: I used the same 5x7mm teardrop beads from the dangles on the yoke to connect the end of the commercial chain to the commercial clasp again using the wrapped bead link. You could use the 9mm triangle beads instead. For the clasp in this necklace, I used a 6mm magnetic clasp, item 0337 or item 0338. The finished necklace is about 20" long. |

Alternative Configurations:
One simple alternative to this design is to modify steps 7 and 8 from the prior instructions so that you make a complete loop around the two outer-most pegs in the pattern. The resulting yoke would appear as shown at right. The remainder of the necklace would be made the same. On the following page, we will show an earring pattern to compliment this necklace. |
